| Our Installation Processes Below are details of how we install paving and patios. They are provided to let you see we offer a comprehensive service and conform to recognised installation practices. Obviously these are general processes as sometimes we need to adapt to particular issues during an installation. Paving Installation Process 1. Site cleared, excavated and all excess waste material removed from site with our company's mini diggers and Lorry. We find this quicker than using skips and it helps to minimise the upheaval for our customers. 2. All levels are checked and suitable sub-base brought in and compacted to correct level and falls. 3. Depending on levels KL high rise kerbs, KS low rise kerbs, Rubicon Kerbs and Headers of blocks are laid in concrete to form the outline of area and retain blocks to prevent movement. 4. If steps have been requested they are built with either KL high rise kerbs or Rubicon kerbs, cut to shape and infilled with blocks. 5. If manhole covers are required we install recessed covers to correct level and infill with blocks. 6. Should drainage be required we install Aco-Channel Drainage system in concrete and connect to existing drainage. 7. Lay a bed of concrete sand to area, compact to correct levels and re-screed before laying blocks. 8. Lay 60mm thick blocks to all driveways and 50mm thick blocks to patios all to your colour and design specification. 9. Blocks cut in, compacted and brushed in with dry joint filling sand to finish. 10. Site left clean & tidy with all excess waste material removed. 11. Should Sealant option be taken we only use Resiblock 22 Matt Solution which coats the blocks and absorbs into the sand to leave a maintenance free answer. 12. All work completed receives a 5 Year Written Guarantee. Patio Installation Process Preparation is carried out in the same way as paving but as there is so much choice on the market for products to use each Patio is different, Site is left clean & tidy, all excess removed and all work completed receives a 5 Year Written Guarantee.  Slabs with wide
joints are laid on a wet mortar bed and pointed up with coloured Mortar
to finish Slabs with close joints are laid on bed of concrete sand
and brushed in with dry joint filling sand. Steps can be built with either KL kerbs or brick and stone
to match. Any slabs are bedded with Coloured Mortar to match. Walling built and pointed up with coloured mortar. Decking and Fencing - Only Pressure treated timber is used. |
